ACC graphs misrepresent the start times and the amount of traffics got transfed

L4 Transporter

Hi,

I have an session this morning that ran from 7:38 to 9:29.    The traffic log shows it recevied 6.5GB data and sent 473MB in that session within that period of time.Screen Shot 2017-02-24 at 10.11.15 AM.png

If I go to ACC and select 6 hours and filter by application,  From this screenshot, I am under the impression  (Under the User|Source|Destination IP Activity), that session happened from 9:00 to 9:30AM and at 9:15AM there are 6.58GB recevied and 473MB sent.    But that is not true from the traffic log, the session started back at 7:38AM.

What do you think?

Hi,

It's a limitation of the ACC. This data is based on the traffic logs, and the logs are generated at the end of the session. You will have to look at the netflows if you want something closer to the actual traffic passing through the firewall.

I was told couple of times by our SEs, ACC uses a combination of traffic log and internal data.   I just want to verify it.
