Hi PA Live Community,
Still a newbie to the whole PA world but slowly getting there.
When looking at the ACC tab of the GUI I can see there are entries for "Applications using Non Standard Ports" and also "Rules allowing Applications on Non Standard Ports"
Screenshot attached below.
Can someone explain why this is alerting as it is? I am using APP-ID (As far as I am aware for my Outbound to Internet Rule) so I would have thought any app using non standard port would be dropped? Also the ports mentioned in screenshot below, e.g 54484, 58004, 63331 etc.. are all source ports from clients and not destination ports to web.
Anyone clear this up / explain why it is alerting under ACC.
Thanks 🙂

Hello,
Check your traffic logs to make sure its not hitting a different security policy. Also you can adjust your filters to only port 80 and see waht happens.

Do you have any of these non-standard "web-browsing" ports configured in Application Override?
