bright cloud - having problems

some of the sites are fasle postivie , and then we report to brightcloud and it takes 24 -48 housrs it. but some adult and pronograph sites can be opened , adult sites with diffrent languages like chinese , italian, russian , japanese , arab etc can be opened . some adult are linked are in social networking sites which cant be filtered.

After a Brightcloud recategorizes a URL, you can clear URL cache on your Palo Alto device to assist in making sure the category is reflected correctly.

Hi Jerry,

If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you have two issues:

1.  You have experienced many false positives with some of the BrightCloud URL categorizations, and it takes BrightCloud 24-48 hours to respond and process a URL category change that you submit.

2.  There are also false negatives - ie French adult site is not categorized as "adult" and therefore is not covered by current URL filtering policy.

Is that correct?

hi doris ,

the  issues are with french adult sites , arab , chinese  etc which not categorized as adult . this is the many issue .

i do compare some fasle postive site with bluecoat . i guess they are using websense which is every accurate .
