Change speed/duplex on 10G SFP port for PA-5220

L2 Linker

Hello,

Is it possible to hardcode speed/duplex for 10G SFP port on PA-5220 device? i am getting below error:

>set network interface ethernet ethernet1/5 link-speed 10000 link-duplex full
Error:
Server error : ethernet1/5 -> link-duplex 'full' is not a valid reference
ethernet1/5 -> link-duplex is invalid

I have gone through the article that mentiones 1G port requires setting to be "auto".

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Configuration-Articles/Cannot-Commit-when-Interfaces-are-Set-to...

Is this applicable for 10G SFP port as well? Appreciate the help !!

@skanani,

On any SFP or SFP+ port the firewall is only capable of Link Duplex Auto.

What about the speed? Can you confirm that it can't be configured?

@nikoolayy1,

You can configure speed on the interface on the 5220 without issue.

About optical SFP speed, so it can be configured on 5000 or 7000 series?
