Hi

could you provide some more details ? What kind of platform do you have, what is the behavior you are observing versus what are you expecting, is the dataplane idle or loaded, are you downloading over a VPN, http, ssl, SMB, ...

thanks!

Hi

I am downloading over http or https .using  paloalto in vwire mode behind asa firewall .

Palo alto 4020

i am expecting around 600 Kbps  , but i am getting  around 100 Kbps. Sometimes connection

drops in the middle

Thanks

That's still a little hard to guess what is going on 🙂 although 100kbps sounds a little low.. are you sure there are no packets being dropped, are you running a recent (6.0.13, 6.1.11, 7.0.7, 7.1.2) PAN-OS ?

you can check dropped packets by setting a packet-diag filter and  reviewing counters associated with the sessions you set your filter for

example:

> debug dataplane packet-diag set filter match source 1<client IP> destination <webserver IP>
> debug dataplane packet-diag set filter match source <webserver IP> qdestination <address of your firewall's untrust interface>
> debug dataplane packet-diag set filter on
> show counter global filter delta yes packet-filter yes [repeat several times]
