factory-reset in PAN-OS 3.0 CLI not availabe in 3.1

L0 Member

Hi

There is a "request system factory-reset" command to return factory defaults in PAN-OS 3.0 (page 90 in PAN 3.0 CLI.pdf)

It seems that this command is not available in PAN-OS 3.1. Is there any equvilent version of  this CLI command in 3.1?

It is really annoying to plug serial cable, reboot the device to return factory defaults before every PoC Smiley Happy

Thanks.

Hi Ismail,

In 3.1 the following command may help you:   request system private-data-reset

This clears all the data and configuration but does not do a full factory reset (keeps current code).

Cheers,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Thank you very much. This is what I need. I think it is better to mention about this command in Admin guide.

Best regards.

Ismail
