Good morning.
I inherited an old PA-220. I would like to try to set up a VPN, but when I try to download any version of the GlobalProtec Client, the download fails "failed to download due to generic communication error".
If I try to check for updates below, this attempt also fails "failed to check upgrade info due to generic communication error, please check network connectivity and try again".
The primary DNS set is 8.8.8.8.
Is an active license/certificate required to download the client or even just to check for any updates?
Thank you

Yes, in order for the device to communicate to the Palo portal to download any content updates or software the FW needs to be licensed and registered to company account with Palo.

I thank you for the answer. Is it a free or paid procedure?
