Global Protect 4.1 remember userid and password

L1 Bithead

I am testing version 4.1 of the Global Protect client and everytime I reboot, the client prompts me for the userid and password.  It did work fine on 4.0.6, but not this version.  I verified that remember userid and password was set to on in the Portal settings on the firewall.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

   STeve

@Steve27596,

What OS are you using? I only allow users to save their username and that appears to be working perfectly fine on the macOS and Windows clients.

I am running Windows 10.  My theory was to have them always logged in with the company laptop so all their traffic would be screened through the firewall.

I'll test this out on my lab equipment and let you know if it's working for me or not.

It is remembering the creds for me in windows/mac/linux with the 4.1 client in both a prelogon always on config and a user initiated config

@Steve27596,

I as well am not running into any issues getting the creds to save. Not sure what you could possibly be running into.

I have tested GP 4.1 on Windows 7 and 10, the agent saves the password most of the time.  There are some times where the GP agent will prompt me for my password again.  I don't think this is related to GP 4.1 though, as it was happening on the older version as well.
