GP agent takes 30 seconds to connect

L4 Transporter

Hello

We are currently testing the GlobalProtect VPN client. One issue that bothers us is that the GP agent takes more than 30 seconds to connect to the gateway. Is that really the time it takes to establish a tunnel? Our earlier PPTP solution took 1-2 seconds to connect...

Our setup looks quite simple. We followed the setup in the official document "Configuring GlobalProtect Tech Note (revision G)", so atm we are only using one portal and gateway (they share the same DNS name and SSL cert).

The client log is attached.

Thanks a lot for any inputs on this.

Oliver

Looking at the logs. It shows that a 15 second delay is caused at one stage.

(T1796) 02/02/13 06:47:39:258 Debug(4482): CPanMSService::SetProxyForHost: fAutoDetect: 1 url: proxy: bypass:

url:https://gp.example.com/ returned proxystr:

This seems like it is related to proxy. R u using any proxy servers in the environment ?

That's it, thanks a lot! When I deactivate the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox the tunnel is established within 5 seconds now.

Is there probably a way to tell GP client to ignore IE proxy settings?

I dont think so !!.

Ok, thanks again.
