Hello, everybody.
I purchased the Vm-300 virtual firewall.
I have installed XenServer 7.1 servers
I would like to install version 8.0+ of the firewall on this virtualization platform.
I have downloaded the OVA extension file, but the import of the virtual machine fails to import.
Someone please let me know the correct way to configure the virtual firewall using xenserver.
Greetings and thanks

If you're looking at XenServer, the datasheet + documentation only mentions XenServer support when running on Citrix SDX platforms.

Hello, thank you for your comment.
What I'm looking for is to import the virtual firewall for use with XenServer, so I have chosen the ova extension that should be the easiest to carry between hypervisors.
I have no intention of investing in netscaler hardware to run the virtual firewall.
Just XenServer, like the rest of my virtual machines.
Greetings

This doesn't work because Palo Alto Networks doesn't support standalone XenServer for use with the VM-Series firewalls. The only use-case supporting XenServer is when it's running on Citrix SDX hardware.
Since you're not using SDX, I would highly recommend using one of the supported Hypervisors such as KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, etc.

Any luck getting this to work?
