How to prompt Global Protect system tray upon windows login?

L0 Member

Hey everyone, I would really appreciate some help from someone who has gotten this to work!

In our environment, we enforce 2 factor with the vpn, while this gives added security to the network, it inherently disables pre-logon. I would really like for the system tray to pop up when users log on to windows to essentially remind them to connect to the vpn.

I have tried calling the application via powershell but it does not prompt the system tray, likely cause the application is already running as a start up process. however, when i double-click the .exe in file explorer, it does open the system tray. if i could get this behavior from launching through powershell, task scheduler would be an option.

Does anyone know how to get the System tray to automatically prompt upon loging into windows?

really appreciate some guidance

thanks

Have you tried to configure GP agent option save credentials to NO. Since Gp is not saving the credentials , everytime when user log on to windows, GP agent attempts to connect and it requires password so it will prompt for password.

I also have under Portal, Agent below config set to no

I got the GP tray icon asking user to connect
