identify interfaces where mtu is being exceeded

L0 Member

Hi, wondering if someone might know how to see counters for flow_fwd_mtu_exceeded for a specific interface. Our firewall's global counter is increasing using this command:

show counter global filter packet-filter yes delta yes

but I'd like to know which interface(s) the problem is on.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Hi Mike,

I believe you can set an interface in the packet capture. Then when you run the counter command filtered by the packet capture you'll know which interface it is on. Additionally if the packets are being dropped because of this then you can check the MAC addressses in the drop pcap capture. Then on the firewall you can check the MAC of the interfaces by looking on the CLI or on the GUI by adding in the MAC column to the interface window.

Hope this helps,
Ben
