Identifying & Blocking iPhone Applications

L4 Transporter

I'm wondering if the PAN FW can identify & block iPhone applications when the iPhone is connected via Wifi to the company network -- i.e. Angry Bird, Pandora on the iPhone, etc.

If you can find it in the application list then we can detect it and block it. If you find that we are not detecting an application in the list you should contact support and report it. For general web traffic, you can create a custom signature that triggers on "User Agent iPhone". You should get a sniffer capture and look at the HTTP header to verify the string and case used.
