Iinux smart cards supported for globalprotect 2fa authentication?

L3 Networker

Dear community!

I have a quick question:

Dos globalprotect support 2fa authentication with Linux smart cards?

Thank you!

I would like to do some additional research, but my first impression is NO.

What is the smart card being used to authenticate to?  I have seen smart cards for internal authentication (for accessing the OS locally), but not sure I have seen where a smart card is supported for GP.  More information is needed.  Thanks.

There are... governmental entities... that use brivo/mocha smart cards for GP auth. My understanding is it's a custom registry check that changes on when the card is inserted or not. Have your account SE engage the federal team, I've heard this use case a few times but agree, more information is needed.
