Inter Vsys Routing Recommendations from Palo Alto Networks

Hi Team, 

I hope ye are well. Can we get a KB article on Palo Alto Networks recommendation regarding inter-vsys routing ? 

Given that inter-vsys routed sessions never get off loaded and can have a cost against the dp, is using basic cabling best option between interfaces or letting up/downstream switch handle the routing between vsys ? 

There has been a few article on same, but would be nice when explaining to customer one that details this and we don't have to reference 2 articles, and one is not even an article but a forum post. 

Can we get something official back on same ?

You want to use a router external to the Firewall.  There is a "shared-gateway" feature you can use but it takes "slow-path" and is limited to 1.25Gbit and really wasn't intended for this purpose.

PS - There was no official documentation when I was fighting this a couple years ago.  Pretty sure nothing has changed.

Yea all slow path if using the shared gateway which is resource heavy of course. Running into a few scenarios where this is a surprise to customers and alteration of the topology needed. We really need this detailed in a KB article if at all possible or mentioned on the tech docs as an fyi.
