Issue with CPUID with PA-VM-100 on Vitualbox

L2 Linker

Hi Guys!!

I have installed a PA-VM -100 on my VirtualBox but the problem i m currently facing   is as follows:

- The CPUID does not appear on the dashboard  (general info)  i m only able to retrieve the UUID any idea why ?

- Can I disconnect The VM  i have already installed and registered  without losing my licenses  ?   because i wanna re-use it later on

Well the big point is that i have already registered my VM but the thing  is i can't  update the firewall ( every time i tried i got the msg: device not found ) so i came back to the point i absolutely need a that CPUID to be able to get the Update

Hello,

I do not think that deploying a VM-100 is supported on Oracle Virtual Box. I recommend taking a look at the deployment guide:

https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/documentation/70/virtualization/virtualization/about-the-vm-series-...

thanks,

Ben

Thank you Ben ,
You See absolutely right i understood it later
I finally deployed it in ESXi
Oracle virtual box doesn't support it
I guess and quite sure that the problem was related to OVA, OVF conversion

Thanks once again
