Logging of threats - Possibly to set it globally ?

L1 Bithead

Hi,

I am in the start of setting up Threat log forwarding to Syslog and/or SNMP-traps.

Do I really have to enter every single rule to enable this logging or is it a smarter way of doing this ??

I really hope that I am not forced to add the same log forwarding rule to one and every rule  Smiley Sad

Hi,

There is no such way where you can setup syslog settings so that all the threatlogs will be forwarded to the syslog server. You have to setup log forwarding profile and that has to be applied for each and every security rule. The same thing applies for the traffic logs also. A work around for doing this would be to modify the XML config and import the config back.

Hi,

Thanks a lot - I will try it the XML-way. We found a great xml-editor the other day. Makes it a lot safer to edit the files.

But anyway - Thank you for clearify the options
