Manual FQDN Refresh

L1 Bithead

Hi All

I am using PA 5050 with PAN OS 5.0. PA is automatically refreshing FQDN evrery 30 min. I want to refresh the FQDN manually or reduce the refresh time less than 30 min. How can I do this . Please can anyone suggest me how to do it .

Thanks

Hi,

In configure mode, to set the refresh interval

# set deviceconfig system fqdn-refresh-time

I believe the min time is 5 minutes.  To force a refresh

# set deviceconfig system fqdn-forcerefresh-time

These are for 4.1 but assume still valid for 5.0

Regards

Lee.

Hi,

To refresh manually following cmd might be helpful.

>request system fqdn refresh

or

>request system fqdn refresh force yes

The minimum fqdn refresh interval supported is 30min:

# set deviceconfig system fqdn-refresh-time

<value>  <1800-14399> Seconds for Periodic Timer to refresh expired FQDN object entries

As emr suggested, to refresh manually refresh the fqdn:

> request system fqdn refresh
