Mapping User to Multiple IPs

L1 Bithead

If a superuser logs into his workstation and then logs into another station/server remotely, the PA only associates the last IP with the user.  So his superuser privileges are available via the remote box, but not via his local station.  He must log off and back on locally to reset the mapping.

Is there a config setting that will map a user account to more than one IP so that both stations have the superuser access?

Thanks!

Hi

A single user account can be mapped to multiple IP addresses, so what you describe should normally not occur unless a timeout is set and no way to refresh (probing, captive portal, ...) is provided, or if another user logs on to the same system after the initial user, and a terminal server client is not installed on the host
