Monitor Firewalls through Panorama (SNMP, API query ...)

L0 Member

Hello,

I am trying to monitor some firewalls via snmp but just asking to the Panmorama devices that are managing these firewalls:

If I run a snmpwalk using this OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.25461, the information about the firewalls that I get from the Panorama is just logs related information.
For example:
-- Connection id of the device being polled
-- Log Type of the log being polled.
-- Time at which the last log was received
-- Last sequence number received for a type of log.
-- Time at which the last log was generated.

I would like to know if there is any possibility to have more information from the firewalls about CPU, Memory, Status ...
I have been thinking about the possibility to do querys to the API but I have not been able to find how to have for instance CPU information from the firewalls.

Is there any way that I can request the information of the Managed devices health ?

Thank you very much.
Kind Regards

You can get more information from the firewalls about CPU, Memory, Status and lot more by installing a chrome extension called Pan(w)achrome. Im sure you would love it.

Hello Suresh,

Thank you very much for your update, but this possible solution does not match our requirements.

We would like to have an active monitored system, And For instance when the CPU of one firewall is higher than the threshold, get a notification.

From the machine that we are currently monitoring the Panoramas, we don't have direct connection to the firewalls, that is why We need to do the request to the Panoramas and not to the firewalls. (via snmp, request to the Panorama API, or any other possibility)

Do you know if there is any possibiltiy to have this information?

Kind Regards
