PA-500 IPsec VPN

L0 Member

Hi all,

I have a general VPN tunnel question.. Was do the status lights on the IPsec tunnel indicate (see below)? I understand green is goo and red is bad, what I don't know is why is there two? I can surmise that the second one is the "IKE Gateway/Satelite" but what does that really mean? does that tell me that my phase one IKE settings are right OR my IPsec phase two settings are right OR both?

Then what does the first one mean? it really has no heading other thn "Status" . I thought maybe it was an "everything is right" lidicateor, but I have seen the tunnel in the state of the first one being green and the second one being red....

I'm pretty sure I can get this working if I knew what portion wasn;t wroking yet. The system logs don;t show any errors either....

Thanks,

Doug

this indicates both phase1/phase2 being up and running.

Awesome!! thank you. Now I know I just need to tweak the phase 1 side and leave phase 2 alone so I dont; go backwards Smiley Happy

Thanks also for the quick response.
