Palo Alto VM-100 installed on VMWare workstation is unable to connect to internet.

L0 Member

Hi All,

I have installed a Palo Alto firewall on my vmware workstation 8.0, with current settings i am able to access the Firewall GUI from my machine browser. But unfortunately, i am unable to connect to internet via firewall interface. I have 3 interfaces namely - mgmt, Untrust and Trust. I am trying to update license on firewall which requires internet access, but ending up a message.

"Failed to check content upgrade info due to generic communication error. Please check network connectivity and try again."

Here i am attaching the connectivity diagram, virtual network editor and network interfaces screenshot.

Can some please help me to resolve this connectivity problem.

I am trying to follow the setup published on udemy.com.. here is the link:

Hi,

can you please "bridge" your first network adapter (mgmt) to your PC network card:

This will let you use your physical PC interface card in order to get to the Internet through your home router.
