PAN-OS Version Numbering

L1 Bithead

I saw a strange PAN-OS version on the support site software updates and wanted to know what this version is. What does the "h2" designation mean?

8.1.6-h2

hotfixes come out when it's been deemed an "out of cycle" update is needed for a particular OS version.

The H usually indicates a 'hotfix' release.  The hot fix may not relate to your current situation so check with TAC before going to that release.
