Panorama 4.0.1 commit error

I have a PA-2020 managed through Panorama, both running 4.0.1. When I change a setting in Panorama for example a security policy change in the local device context only !

If I commit the change I get this error message right after clicking on commit

Although the commit is still being processed in the job queue

After a moment I can see the commit has finished

And by doublechecking on the Firewall I can confirm that the security policy change has been implemented.

I wonder why I get this strange error message above ...

I've seen something similar on v3.1.7 and it had to do with device timeouts - we needed to increase the timeout values under Device / Setup / Management.

You are right, after changing "Receive Timeout for connection to Panorama" from default 20 to 120secs the error did not show up again. This change has to be done on the firewall not on Panorama.

In my case, setting the value to 60 secs is still ok.
