Hi,
could anyone tell me what does really mean the voice "Master Device" in device group configuration in Panorama?
Unfortunately the only documentation about this says:
"[...] select a master
device from which the user information will be retrieved from [..]
What does user information mean?

Lets say you have a PAN-agent on your PAN-device to poll for users and a few groups. How does Panorama then know which groups you have filtered out for use in the PAN-device policies. This is what the master device is for. Updating Panorama with any groups you may have filtered out for use in your policies.
