Any known issues with this configuration?

I am not aware of any known issues with managing a 7.0.x FW with panorama 8.0.x. I do it already and so far everything works without issues.

You shouldn't run into any issues. I think the general rule of thumb is that you can go two release versions back without issue, but I could be wrong.
