New to Palo Alto and looking to utilize GlobalProtect to filter students offsite on their laptops. How have others gotten around the ability to kill the GlobalProtect client via Task Manager? Use GPO to prevent Task Manager usage? Just looking for best practices to configure this for the 2017-18 school year. Thanks in advance.

If these laptops are their laptops would you really expect to be able to stop students from stopping services? Or are these actually school issue devices to students?

Hello,
GP cannot filter traffic, it just creates the VPN tunnel and from there you can tunnel all traffic through the PAN and filter it there. You could restrict the user profiles to prevent them from stopping the service? Honestly not sure jhow you can accomplish more without having more tools/software at your disposal. However if anyone else has any input I'm all ears.
Regards,
