Quick upgrade query

L0 Member

We have a customer FW Pair running on 10.1.13 (which was the previous preferred maintenance release).

We are looking to upgrade these to 10.2.9-h1.

The upgrade notes say download and install the latest preferred maintenance release, which would be 10.1.13-h1

We have previously upgraded other customer FWs from 10.1.13 to 10.2.9-h1, back when 10.1.13 was the preferred maintenance release.

Is it strictly necessary to upgrade to 10.1.13-h1 first before upgrading to 10.2.9-h1, or would it be ok to upgrade straight to 10.2.9-h1 from 10.1.13 ?

Thanks in advance.

It is not a strict requirement, you can upgrade 10.2.9-h1 directly from 10.1.13. But is recommended to upgrade to preferred release on each major release.
