Real world experience Panorama 8.0.x with firewall devices running 7.0.x / 7.1.x

L4 Transporter

Hello,

does anybody have real world experience with Panorama running 8.0.x with firewall devices running 7.0.x / 7.1.x.

Currently Panorama is running 7.1.x. Due to new commit features and improved log performance we would like to update Panorama to 8.0.x

We make extensive use of device groups and templates.

We're currently running Panorama 8.0.2 with two firewalls on 7.1.10 and no problems.

Panorama is capable of managing lower version devices and seems to be programmed to modify the configs appropriately for the target firewall version.

I have have run 8.0.0 and 8.0.1 with panorama for more then a month with no issues. My firewalls are on 7.1.7.

I do love the new Commit and push feature of 8.0, I know its only seconds, but it is nice!
