Setting independent headers on HA cluster members

L1 Bithead

Hello,

I set headers (Device > Setup > Management > General Settings) for each machine in an HA cluster to identify which machine I'm looking at per the recommendation in the Fuel Best Practices book.  I was surprised to see that the setting syncs to both machines, which kind of reduces the utility of the feature (the machines are geographically separated).  Does anyone know whether there's a way to identify each machine independently (Admin PA-7050, Eng PA-7050)?  Or does this need to be a feature request?

Thanks,

Gene

@gleduc

I don't think that is an option currently, at least as far as the header banner is concerned.

maybe you want to check in with support on this

the admin guide states that the login banner should not be synced: https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/documentation/70/pan-os/pan-os/high-availability/reference-ha-synch...

(with Panorama and templates it is possible to set these values different on each clustermember)
