Hello,
we're running a couple of PA-500 v.3.1.5 in HA, with SSL VPN Client v.1.3.4.
We're experiencing strange access issues to the VPN Portal depending on the browser being used.
When trying to access the portal url we get a blank page with endless loading icon.
This happens on Win7 64 with Firefox 28, while it works fine with IE9/10.
On another similar PC it doesn't work even with IE9/10/11.
On a mac it works with Safari only (no firefox, no Chrome).
Any idea?
Thank you,
Marco

There could by many reasons why this is happening. I would say to open a support case with us, but PanOS 3.1 is end of support.
Was this ever working? What changed? Are you using a cert that expired for the portal/gateway? Speaking of that, does the portal work, and not the gateway or both?
If you could upgrade to 4.1, that would probably help greatly, but I do not know your situation.

Usually these issues appear as our network appliances like PAN firewalls become victims in the browser wars. New versions of browsers will break web portals and access on our network gear.
In IE you can always try the "compatibility" mode button to see if that fixes the issue.
Other options are to roll back browser versions or upgrade the PANos version to get the latest browser fixes.

Hello jdelio and Steven, thank you for your answers!
@jdelio: yes, it's been working for years, until a couple of months ago. I cannot remember exactly what changed in the meantime. For sure we added a NAT on port 8080 of the same public IP of the web portal. But the portal is supposed to run on https... And with some browsers it works perfectly.
We finally decided to upgrade the systems. We're now at 4.01 and the issue still persists. So we're moving to 4.1 (and later).
I'll keep you updated.
Thanks again, have a nice day!

Hello, after upgrading to PanOS 4.1.16 the GlobalProtect portal is now visible with every browser we could test and the gateway is working fine!
