Telnet from the firewall.

I dont see any telnet option on the firewall. Wanted to telnet mail.com port 25 just to check connectivity.

Telnet feature is disabled from PAN-OS 5.0.

Here is description on release note:

The telnet command is no longer available in the PAN-OS CLI.

 

To check the connectivity for mail, you can use 'Send test mail' which is under Monitor tab > PDF Reports > Email Scheduler.

Be sure, you configure email profile under Device tab > Server Profiles > Email before you try to send test mail.
