The Serial # no is showing as unknown!

L1 Bithead

Hello experts!

In my Palo Alto web interface, the Serial# is showing as unknown,

NidhiNC01_0-1698722519479.png

and I know that unknown means the firewall is not licensed. To view traffic logs on the firewall, you must install a valid capacity license.

How can I have my firewall licensed?

I have deployed the Palo Alto VM series firewall from the Azure marketplace. and the plan I selected is BYOL as I could not deploy PAYG plans.

Please let me know what I can do about this.

Thanks!

Nidhi

Hi @Nidhi-NC01 ,

A BYOL license is typically purchased from a partner, reseller, or directly from Palo Alto Networks. Once you've connected with them, youll receive an email with the auth codes for your BYOL individual or bundle licensing.
