Traffic log filter result abnormal with non admin account on PanOS-4.1.7-h2

L4 Transporter

Hi All,

We run PanOS 4.0.9 on PA-2050 previous, and traffic log filters results are normally. however after we upgrade PanOS to 4.1.7-h2, the traffic log filter results with non admin account are abnormally, but when we change back to admin account and do the same, it works normally.

The non admin account was created by admin, and authenticated with external FreeRADIUS Server, and assigned full permissions by "Admins Roles" function, you can see the abnormal traffic log filter results screen sanpshot as follow.

nonadminstatus.PNG

The correct results should be only show addr.src eq 10.1.2.152 host address in soruce address column, but truely, it shows 10.1.2.0/24 network address for filter results.

Is any one have same experiences for it? or have any fixed for it in later version?

Regards,

Joy

Hi Joy,

How are you doing?

The non-admin account that you login with would have an admin role associated with it. You would have to enable the "show full ip addresses" on that admin role. If you go to the admin role then at the bottom you would see privacy and then the option of show full ip addresses. Enable that and you should see the full ip addresses in the traffic logs using the non-admin account.

Thanks,

Syed Hasnain
