Turn off the firewalls in high availability mode and then turn them on.

L1 Bithead

Hi team, what would be the best option when turning off the firewall in high availability mode.
Turn off the passive, then the active?
And to turn on, first the active and then the passive?
Regards.

@manuellara,

This is correct and would prevent any unnecessary failovers when shutting them down or bringing them back online. Note that the order of which you power them on doesn't matter unless you have preempt enabled; the first unit to boot will simply take the active role otherwise.
