What causes reporting to hang or freeze with no output?

Does anyone have a solution to this problem, or have any pointers on where to begin troubleshooting?

Can you tell us what model of appliance you are using as well as the version of PAN OS you are running ?

Not applicable

When you create a report and don't use the proper syntax the query runs forever without a result.

In example: Use ( bytes leq 446 ) instead of ( bytes <= 446 )
