an autocommit is triggered by a reboot of the dataplane weather it be a hard or soft reboot.

Thank you for your reply.  However, there are other software events that also triggers an autocommit -- i.e. FQDN address discovery.  What other software events will trigger an autocommit?

Palo Alto Networks Guru

Installation of new content, FQDN refresh, upgrades, and downgrades all trigger an auto-commit.

This is great info... Thank you very much!  Very helpful information.

there a way to set the auto-commit on a schedule?, and if i have changes of configuration pending, the autocommit will apply the changes?

I think you can schedule it externally, that is a box connecting to your PA mgmt and through the XML api issues a forced commit.

Any specific case you wish to schedule autocommits other than "automatically on demand"?
