Global Protect fails to connect Apple iOS

Hi all,

We're encountering an issue when trying to connect to our VPN using the GlobalProtect app on iOS. After entering the portal address, the app redirects to Azure AD for authentication. Once credentials are entered, we receive the following error:

 

Connection Failed
GlobalProtect failed to connect to the login server. Contact your IT help desk to resolve the issue. The request timed out.

Has anyone experienced this or have suggestions on how to resolve it?

For context:

  • Firewalls: PA-440
  • PAN-OS version: 11.1.6-h10
  • GlobalProtect agent version: 6.2.7
  • Gateway license valid until March 2026

@DanielPullen,

Is this specific to iOS or is that just the only device that you are trying to connect?

The latest version of GP supported on iOS is 6.1.8.

 

Have you looked at the GP logs, any interesting messages?

 

Have you looked at the Azure AD (EntraID) authentication logs?
