MAC missing required input parameters

L1 Bithead

Hi all,

from wednesday my Global Protect connection isn't working anymore. The message displayed in red is "missing required input parameters". I have uninstalled several times, no way to fix. Then I have initialized the machine moving to Sonoma OS and at first use Global Protect works. But when I've disconnected from the wi-fi moving to another one the problem is back. So at this time I have to re-initialize the OS every time to use GP and as you can understand it's quite stressing. Do you have any indication to solve this matter?

Thanks

I am still having this issue. Were you able to figure it out?

No, no one give me any advice about it.

I'm working on some troubleshooting based on what my IT suggested. I see you are on a Mac -- same as me. I will follow up if I figure it out.

yes please! I saw that in some old MacOS version there was a "block" report in the Security properties manager page, but I don't have in my updated one. So please any info you can share can be helpful.

I experience the same problem, my IT department has turned on 3 factor authentication and I'm using the GlobalProtect version that's coming with AppStore. It has worked this way until very recently. Any suggestions?

My IT reinstall it using a new installer and now is working.

my IT distribute MacOS clients, and the GP version on AppStore is too old: where can I get an updated version?

Any updates? I have same problem. It seems like this happened after updating through the App store

I've got it working by downloading the latest OSX client, googling helped

I'm on the latest MAC version (6.1.5.722.20240524), but still have the same problem.

@stefan.spittank, try to find version 6.2.1 on MacOS, this has worked for me

Thanks for the hint. I tried to find a download of version 6.2.1 and found this document: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/globalprotect/6-0/globalprotect-app-user-guide/globalprotect-app-f...

Where it is said to download "you must download the app directly from a GlobalProtect portal within your organization", but I previously installed GlobalProtect from the Mac App Store.

I now downloaded the app from my client portal and - although the version number is still 6.1.5, I now have a GlobalProtect app which looks completely different. This version works for me.

So it was a version problem, but not something which could be solved with an updated version.
