Deepseek addition to artificial-intelligence subcategory ETA?

L1 Bithead

Do we have a known ETA of when we can expect DeepSeek to be added to the artificial-intelligence subcategory?

With the rapid developments in Washington and other nations having that visibility without custom filters would be wonderful!

Palo Now has it added into content version 8948: New App-IDs for DeepSeek

Importance When What Detail
High (RELEASED) February 24, 2025

We activated the new DeepSeek App-IDs (deepseek-api, deepseek-chatand deepseek-platform).

IMPORTANT: To accelerate coverage, we are not releasing placeholders or TSIDs for these new App-IDs. Instead, we are activating (adding signatures for) these App-IDs and they will start identifying the associated traffic as soon as you install this (or a later) content update.

@J.Suter,

Do you have an example of a DeepSeek URL that isn't being categorized as artificial-intelligence? From what I can see this is already categorized properly, we just don't have a dedicated App-ID signature for it yet.

I see it in the URL category list now, moved that column over more. We checked in Objects>subcategory>artificial-intelligence and didn't see it there.

Thank you we can work off this, appreciate the reply!
