PA-5450 Dataplane CPU Utilization Discrepancy (GUI vs SNMP)

L1 Bithead

Attention: Global TPM team,

Hello,

Could you please clarify the relationship between the Dataplane CPU utilization shown in the GUI and the SNMP CPU OIDs on a PA-5450?

It was observed that the GUI shows approximately 80% Dataplane CPU utilization, while hrProcessorLoad.2 (1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.2) returns only 5-10%.

Could you please confirm:

1. Does hrProcessorLoad.2 correspond to the Dataplane CPU utilization displayed in the GUI?
2. How is the GUI Dataplane CPU utilization calculated on a PA-5450 with multiple Data Processors?
3. Is there an SNMP OID that directly matches the GUI Dataplane CPU utilization value?
4. Is this level of discrepancy expected?

Thank you.

Thank you.

Does the Dataplane CPU utilization shown in the GUI correlate with the output of the following command?

> show running resource-monitor

If so, is there any SNMP OID that corresponds to the Dataplane CPU utilization displayed in the GUI or reported by this CLI command?

In addition, for platforms with multiple Data Processors such as the PA-5450, is the GUI Dataplane CPU value calculated as an average, maximum, aggregate, or some other method across the Data Processors?
