Hi
I bought second hand a palo alto pa220, it is new, never had a license but it has a very old pan os, version 8.1.5, is it possible to upgrade it to a newer pan os? i would like it very much

yes and no
if you have the software from another pa-220 you can install it directly.
If you do not have access to the software, you will first need to register it, and here is the difficult part:
- for you to be able to register it, the device needs to go through the second market recertification process. However, devices that are End of Sale cannot be recertified. The PA-220 is end of sale so you can't recertify
Did the person or company you bought it from register it previously, did they have any license keys ? They may still be able to register and activate it
