Returning to Panorama

L0 Member

Looking for feedback on an unconventional Panorama situation that I hope someone else has come across.

If you had Panorama in your environment and then lost it for some time (reason not important) and then got Panorama back, would the best course of action be to start from scratch as if you never had panorama?

If I wanted to re-import objects I once had (for the sake of time) is it even wise to re-import those objects from the old panorama into the "new" panorama?

Thoughts?

Hi @A.Cubias ,

First, you will need to determine if there is any remnant Panorama configuration on the NGFW:

  1. show config pushed-shared-policy OR Policies and Objects with a yellow/orange background
  2. show config pushed-template OR Network and Device configuration has some green/green-orange gears

My guess is the configuration has been imported locally on the NGFWs.  Then should should start from scratch and add the new NGFWs to Panorama.  You can perform the steps below and ignore HA stuff if it is a single firewall.

Thanks,

Tom
