Attention: JAPAC TPM team
Hello Team,
I confirmed from the following documents that BGP filtering and route metric support have been introduced as new features in Prisma Access 6.0:
(1) https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma-access/release-notes/6-0/prisma-access-about/new-features?o...
(2) https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma-access/administration/prisma-access-advanced-deployments/se...
In document (1), the statement
“The platform provides a UI-based configuration option on Panorama® and Cloud Management,
enabling you to filter BGP prefixes advertised to remote networks (RNs) and service connections (SCs).”
suggests that both Panorama and SCM are supported.
However, in document (2), it appears that only Panorama is supported.
Can you confirm whether both Panorama and SCM support this feature equally?
Also, based on document (2), my understanding is that this feature is limited to filtering only, and does not allow for modifying route metrics or BGP attributes within Prisma Access. Is this correct?
If this understanding is correct, does the term “route metric support” refer to the ability to specify matching conditions using community values or prefixes?
