Site VPN and Service Connection Question

L0 Member

Folks,

Does a site VPN require its own service connection or vice versa, a service connection require a site VPN?

My environment has Global Protect clients and they need access to a number of VPN sites also; in addition to the data center.

You need only service connection for the Data Center. Remote Access VPN are what is the site VPN in Prisma Access https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma-access/administration/prisma-access-remote-networks

Better review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mRLEEV3CwM&t=207s and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX9an7QMGqE that are the Getting Started series for Prisma Access.

Also I would recommend seeing the ZTNA connector as it is something new that can be used to expose the Data Center apps https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma-access/administration/ztna-connector-in-prisma-access
