Hi everyone,

I’m currently preparing for the PCNSE certification and had a few questions I was hoping someone more experienced could help answer. I’ve gone through the official study guide and a few online courses, but I still have some concerns regarding the exam structure and how best to approach the prep.

1. How scenario-based is the exam? Are most questions straightforward, or should I expect complex, multi-part scenarios that test real-world application?

2. How close are third-party practice tests to the actual exam? I’ve come across several platforms offering practice questions, but I’m unsure how accurate or helpful they are in terms of format and difficulty.

3. Which core topics should I focus most heavily on? I understand that the blueprint covers a wide range, but I'd love some insight on which areas tend to be most heavily weighted.

4. Is lab experience absolutely necessary to pass? I’ve been studying in a virtual environment but don’t currently have access to a full lab setup.

Any insight or advice from those who’ve recently taken the PCNSE would be greatly appreciated. I really want to approach this the right way and avoid any blind spots in my prep.
