I'd like to share information we managed to obtain from higher levels at the manufacturer, Palo Alto Networks. It turns out that the defect appearing in your devices concerns the memory voltage controller. The problem has already been well-recognized and affects only certain devices from specific production batches.
The manufacturer has developed a process for replacing this specific component, which is why we see repaired devices being returned with RMAs. Additionally, the manufacturer has recommended updating the devices to at least version 11.1.8. To our knowledge, this update does not resolve the hardware issue, but merely ensures that the device will come back to life after an unplanned restart, rather than remaining in maintenance mode.
