If you use legacy way to upgrade, you need to follow the steps as below: (describe this for comparison purpose)
1. download 10.2.0 (base image) and 10.2.x (latest) ** system is running on 10.1.x
2. install 10.2.x and reboot the system
3. download 11.0.0 (base image) and 11.0.x (latest)
4. install 11.0.x and reboot the system
5. download 11.1.0 (base image) and 11.1.x (latest)
6. install 11.1.x and reboot the system
With new feature, you can done by only two steps:
1. download 11.1.0 (base image) and 11.1.x (latest) ** system is running on 10.1.x
2. install 11.1.x and reboot the system
You don't need any technique or preparation (I mean commands) for it. Just download and install, then reboot.
