Hello All,
We are running two VM-500 firewalls in Azure configured in an Active-Passive HA pair. Currently, we are encountering high root partition utilization on both firewalls.
A TAC case was opened, and although some files were deleted to reduce disk usage, the root partition utilization remains high. Palo Alto TAC has informed us that to increase the root partition to 12 GB, the firewall must be redeployed using PAN-OS 11.1 or a later release, which supports the larger root partition size.
If anyone has previously performed this activity or resolved a similar issue without redeployment, please share your experience and recommendations.
It would also be helpful if you could provide any documentation, redeployment guides, or migration procedures related to VM-Series firewall redeployment in Azure.
Thanks in advance for your support.
