on-demand BPA error

L0 Member

Hello,

I am a partner engineer trying to generate BPA report for customer's NGFW. Customer provided TSF file and i tried the on-demand BPA to upload the TSF file, it successfully uploaded, but after some time (20-30mins) it says failed.

error message - Failed to upload TSF file. Please check network connection

Note: I don't have any devices in my CSP tenant.

Does anyone know how to fix the issue and generate the BPA report?

Thanks

Hello!

The "Failed to upload TSF file" error for your on-demand BPA report is likely happening because the NGFW device isn't registered in your CSP tenant. While the TSF file uploads, the system eventually fails because it can't associate the configuration data with a valid, licensed device in your portal. The on-demand BPA process requires the device's serial number to be registered and licensed within the CSP account you're using. To fix this, either have the customer run the report from their own CSP tenant (which already has the device registered) or have the customer transfer ownership of the device to your CSP tenant so you can run the report yourself.

On-Demand BPA does not require the serial number to belong to your CSP tenet. I have found the On-Demand option to be buggy at times. Have you tested the upload again? Or have you tried uploading another TSF file?

I agree - On-Demand BPA does not require the serial number to belong to your CSP tenant. I had run on-demand BPA for a customer successfully sometime back.
I tried uploading different TSF file, its stills same error. Also, i tried uploading the same file again.

Sounds like a bug. I tested from my tenant and the report generated. I would try uploading from a different browser if you haven't tried that already, possibly a different computer. Let us know how that goes.
